The
Student Reception project aims to develop the communication skills,
confidence and sense of responsibility of students.
At the same time it develops their understanding
of the world of work by focusing on good customer service skills.
The Student Reception programme is a successful
and regular feature of the Work Related Learning programme each
year for Year 8 students at one Enfield school. with great success.
They receive training in customer services by a business partner
and/or a representative from the Enfield EBP, who also explain how
to use the handbook and learning materials. Studnets then staff
the school reception desk and putting their training to good use!
At the end of the project, each student receives
a certificate highlighting the skills and competencies they developed
and demonstrated during the Student Reception programme.
